What is Lumora?

Lumora is an AI presentation tool that turns a one-sentence topic into a complete, animated slide deck. You describe what you need — “a 12-slide investor pitch for an electric-scooter startup” — and Lumora writes the content, chooses a design system to match the subject, lays out every slide, generates cinematic background imagery, builds real charts from the numbers, and animates the whole thing.

What you get is a finished deck in the browser, not an outline or a template to fill in. You can edit any word in place, present it full-screen, export it, or share it as a link. Lumora runs entirely in a web browser — there is nothing to install.

How do I make a deck?

Create an account, type your topic, and answer a few short questions about audience, length and tone. Lumora then generates the deck — typically in one to four minutes depending on how many slides you asked for. You land directly in the editor with the finished deck open.

You can also skip the topic entirely and upload your own documents instead, and Lumora will build the deck from those.

Is Lumora free?

Your first deck is free, with every feature unlocked — all themes, AI-generated imagery, editing, present mode, sharing and export. Nothing is held back on the free deck and no card is required to make it.

After that you either buy deck packs or subscribe. There is no trial that expires and no feature tier: the free deck is the same product paying customers get.

What does Lumora cost?

Deck packs are pay-as-you-go and never expire: $2.50 for one deck, $9 for five ($1.80 each), or $22 for fifteen ($1.47 each). No subscription is involved.

Lumora Pro is $18 per month, or $144 per year (which works out to $12 per month), and includes 20 deck generations per calendar month. Pro generations do not roll over to the next month; purchased pack credits never expire. Every plan — including the free deck — uses the same top-tier AI engine.

Can I build a deck from my own documents?

Yes. You can upload PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or plain-text files and Lumora will build the deck from their contents instead of writing the subject matter itself. This is the accurate route when the facts and figures have to be yours — a report, a set of results, an existing deck you want redesigned.

Uploaded documents are converted to text in memory to build your deck and are not stored on Lumora's servers.

Can I edit the deck after it is generated?

Yes, and manual editing is unlimited on every plan — it never costs a credit. Lumora opens the finished deck in a PowerPoint-style editor where you can retype any text in place, drag and resize blocks on the canvas, swap images, edit chart values, reorder slides, and change the theme of the whole deck in one click.

There are 17 themes, 6 surface styles and 31 block types — charts, galleries, bento grids, timelines, quotes, maps, comparison tables and more. You can also ask the AI to regenerate a single slide, or rewrite the entire deck; an AI rewrite of the whole deck consumes one generation, while a single-slide regeneration does not.

Can I export to PDF or PowerPoint?

Both. PDF export gives you a clean, print-ready copy of the deck.

PowerPoint (.pptx) export writes one high-resolution image per slide into a real .pptx file, with your speaker notes preserved. Because each slide is exported as a picture, it looks pixel-identical to Lumora but is not editable in PowerPoint, and the animations and motion are not carried across — Lumora warns you about this before exporting. If you want the deck to stay animated, present it from Lumora or send a share link.

Can I present and share directly from Lumora?

Yes. Present mode runs the deck full-screen with all of its animation and slide transitions intact, and hides the cursor while you talk.

You can also publish a share link, which lets anyone open the animated deck in a browser without an account and without installing anything. A deck is private until you create a link for it, and you can unpublish that link at any time from the editor.

What languages does Lumora support?

You can ask for a deck in any language, and you can rewrite an existing deck into another language from the editor — the design, layout and imagery are preserved while the text is replaced. A full-deck rewrite consumes one deck generation.

How is Lumora different from other AI presentation tools?

Most AI slide tools drop your text into a fixed template, so every deck comes out looking the same. Lumora designs each deck around its subject: the theme, typeface, surface style, colour grade and imagery are chosen to match the topic, and the background images are generated for that specific deck rather than pulled from a stock library.

The output is also a real animated presentation — motion, transitions and morphing between slides — rather than a static set of slides with a fade applied. That is the part that survives when you present from Lumora or send a share link.

Who owns the decks I create?

You do. Lumora only takes the limited rights needed to store, render and share your decks at your direction, such as serving a share link you created.

Is my content used to train AI models?

No. Lumora sends your topic, brief and any uploaded document text to its AI providers — Anthropic for text and Cloudflare for images — purely to produce your deck, and under Lumora's agreements with them that data is not used to train models.

Lumora does not sell or rent your data, and runs no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. You can delete your account and all of its decks by emailing from your account address; deletion completes within 30 days.

How accurate is the generated content?

Deck content is generated by AI and should be reviewed before you present it. Where you have not supplied source material, facts, figures and chart values can be invented — they are plausible rather than researched. For anything where accuracy matters, upload your own documents so the deck is built from your material, and read the deck through before presenting.

How do I pay, and can I pay in rupees by UPI?

Prices are shown in US dollars, but you are charged in your own currency. In India that means rupees, payable by UPI, RuPay, or any Indian card. Cards, wallets and local methods are supported elsewhere.

Checkout is handled by Dodo Payments, Lumora's merchant of record — they are the seller shown on your statement, they calculate any local taxes, and your payment details go directly to them and never reach Lumora's servers.

Can I cancel, and do you give refunds?

Lumora Pro can be cancelled at any time from the app, and you keep your remaining generations until the end of the period you already paid for. Deck packs are one-off purchases with no subscription to cancel.
